Rehabilitation Services

INSPECTION AND REHABILITATION SPECIFICATIONS.
PIM produce a number of Specifications setting out the Methods to be used for:-
- DC Voltage Gradient, Close Interval Potential, Resistivity, pH, Metal Loss Surveys etc.
- Pipeline Coating Rehabilitation, Methods and Materials.
- Cathodic Protection Materials, Construction Techniques and Operations.
- Metal Loss Repair Techniques (Sleeves, Clock Spring, Epoxy Impregnated Fibre Glass).

DATA GATHERING AND SURVEYING.
- All different types of above ground surveys carried out (CIPS, DCVG, Resistivity, pH, GPS, Depth of Burial). We also manufacture many different types of survey equipment.
- All surveys normally use one metre accuracy GPS for Location and Distance Measurement. Also pipe route location for GIS Mapping systems.
- The Internet used to transfer survey data to the PIM data analysis team based in UK.
- DCVG and GPS are used to relocate defects for repair and to direct the excavator operator to reduce digging costs, which are usually 60-70% of rehabilitation costs.


DATA ANALYSIS AND PACKAGES OF WORK.
- Experienced Permanent Data Analysis Team using Specialist Software for data Analysis of more than 70 inputs.
- The Software,
ECDA , produces graphical presentations to justify rehabilitation

ECDA Analysis produces Packages of Work each package consisting of 10 excavations or 200 metres of digging and is used to control Rehabilitation Contractors.

COST ANALYSIS AND CONTROL.
- ECDA analyses overall Project Costs, subdivided into Manpower, Machines and Materials Costs.
- Individual Activity during Rehabilitation of Metal, Coating and CP Costs Evaluated
- Project Resource Requirements for Machines, Manpower and Materials identified.
- Major Project Cost Areas readily identified for close control.

- DC VOLTAGE GRADIENT TECHNOLOGY. An intensive technology transfer course to teach the correct way pipelines should be surveyed using this new powerful technology.
