PIM produce a number of Specifications setting out the Methods to be used for:- - DC Voltage Gradient, Close Interval Potential, Resistivity, pH, Metal Loss Surveys etc. - Pipeline Coating Rehabilitation, Methods and Materials. - Cathodic Protection Materials, Construction Techniques and Operations. - Metal Loss Repair Techniques (Sleeves, Clock Spring, Epoxy Impregnated Fibre Glass).
DATA GATHERING AND SURVEYING. - All different types of above ground surveys carried out (CIPS, DCVG, Resistivity, pH, GPS, Depth of Burial). We also manufacture many different types of survey equipment. - All surveys normally use one metre accuracy GPS for Location and Distance Measurement. Also pipe route location for GIS Mapping systems. - The Internet used to transfer survey data to the PIM data analysis team based in UK. - DCVG and GPS are used to relocate defects for repair and to direct the excavator operator to reduce digging costs, which are usually 60-70% of rehabilitation costs.
