Pipeline Integrity Management Ltd. a world wide operating company now trading in more than 33 countries, was originally formed in 1989 in UK by Dr. John Leeds as a division of Pipeline Induction Heat Ltd a CRC Evans Company. This was a response to an industry need for professional integrity management, rehabilitation and corrosion control consulting services independent from material suppliers.

Dr Leeds left PIM in 1994 to set up his own activities and PIM was sold in 1995 to The Cathodic Protection Company of Houston USA.

In 1997 all rights to the Pipeline Integrity Management name and logo plus company office contents and equipment were purchased by Dr Leeds from CPC and PIM was set up as a separate registered company.
