TYPE C SURVEY PLUS A THOROUGH AUDIT OF CP HARDWARE |
This is the most thorough standard survey package. It involves a Type C survey plus a thorough audit of cathodic protection hardware. Recorded defect information is identical to a Type C survey but includes terrain information at major defects. Metal loss tool data analysis can also be included. |
The client receives a report, which summarises the condition of the pipeline and includes graphical and tabulated information on Severity, Corrosion Status, Soil Resistivity and Pipe-to-Soil Potential and Metal Loss for each defect. In addition, a pipeline metal loss and coating rehabilitation program is recommended; with defects listed in Rehabilitation Packages of Work. A high confidence level in the rehabilitation process is expected because of the many different types of data considered |
The effectiveness of the cathodic protection system and the condition of the cathodic protection hardware are also reviewed and recommendations are made for maintenance and adjustment or improvement. Future intelligent maintenance and monitoring programs for the pipeline and its corrosion prevention techniques are provided. |
